Barbara A. (Rolinson) Higgins, 85, of Bridgewater formerly from Braintree and Sagamore Beach, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 peacefully at home in her own bed.

Born in Boston on November 18, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Rolinson and Lillian (Kelley) Rolinson. Barbara was a graduate of Charlestown High School, class of 1955.

Barbara worked for the Quincy Court System as well as Massachusetts Water Resources Authority.

She enjoyed traveling, shopping, going to the beach, and spending time with her family. Barbara also enjoyed dancing, teaching dance for many years. She often danced with Bobby Burgess from The Lawrence Welk Show as a plant in the audience. In 1985, she appeared on Wheel of Fortune.

Barbara is survived by her children Richard Higgins of Bridgewater, Nancy Cummins and her husband Thomas of Plymouth and Noreen Butchard and her husband Richard of East Sandwich; her grandchildren Leah Cummins, Sean Cummins, Matthew Butchard and Caitlin Butchard; and her cherished dog Cupcake.

Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater on Sunday, December 18th from 12:00PM-3:00PM followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 3:00PM. Private cremation to follow.
