Obituary

Barbara A. (Sylvia) St. Jean, age 80, of Brockton, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. As a life-long resident, she was born and raised in Brockton. She was the youngest daughter of the late Warren and Leonis (Final) Sylvia and sister to her late siblings Warren, Wallace, John Sylvia, and Dorothy Poole-Cahill.

Barbara attended Brockton High School and later settled down as a homemaker.

Ms. St. Jean enjoyed hand making her own decorative wreaths and other home décor. She was much fond of flowers and floral arrangements. Barbara also enjoyed visiting the council of aging with her friends where they would participate in activities and socialize. When relaxing, she would just sit back and listen to her favorite old country music.

She is survived by her daughters Donna (Vincent) Smith and Wendy (Vincent) Nasser, and her husband, Waleed. Barbara was the mother of the late Michael Vincent and mother-in-law of Velora Vincent of Arizona. Other survivors include her caring niece, Diane Hennessy and her husband Larry of Randolph and their daughter, Brittney. Barbara also leaves five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Barbara's visitation on Tuesday, August 10th from 4-7pm, at Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday August 11th at 9:30 am followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
