Barbara (Rooney) McCormick Barbara (Rooney) McCormick , 82, of Brockton, died Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the BayPointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late William McCormick. Born January 4, 1927 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Roger Rooney and Florence (Morris) Rooney. Raised in Brockton she graduated from Brockton High School in 1945. Barbara lived in Newton and Waltham. She was a secretary for Bentley College and Raytheon. She enjoyed traveling with her friends to Cape Cod and New Hampshire. She is survived by her brothers, John J. Rooney of Brockton and Roger M. Rooney of Maryland. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, Sept. 5th at 7:30AM thence to Christ the King Parish, 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9:00AM.
