Bedford Owen Wheaton, 90, passed away, Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the husband of the late Beverly Mae (Fisher) Wheaton.
Born July 10, 1929 in Brockton, MA he was the son of the late Retis Wheaton and Charlotte (Bent) (Wheaton) Stewart; step son of the late John Stewart
Mr. Wheaton proudly served in the Army Mash Unit during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Northeastern University and was employed as an Accountant for the Brockton Edison Company, Mass Hospital Association (MHA) and Shared Medical Systems (SMS) . He learned the new tax laws every year and provided tax help to seniors for over twenty five years at local senior centers.
He enjoyed square dancing, music, woodworking and maintaining his yard. As well as walking along the beach he also loved animals and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Katrina Wheaton, Darrell Wheaton and his wife Laurie and Kenneth Wheaton; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Brother to Charlotte Svirsky and the late Shirley Leonard and Louise Fafard.
Calling hours prior to the service from 10:00AM to 12:00PM on Tuesday, July 14th. Funeral service will be held at 12:00PM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 So. Main St.,(Rt.28) West Bridgewater. Interment will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Alzheimer's Foundation of America.

All visitors will be able to greet family members from a safe distance but not able to touch.
