Benedito Gibau Benedito Pires Gibau, 66, of Brockton, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at his home under the care of his family. He was the husband of Joanna "Ramizi" (Lima) Gibau. Born June 11, 1945 in Brava, Cape Verde, he was the son of the late Eugenio Gibau and Julia (Pires) Gibau. Mr. Gibau was known for being a very talented farmer; his back yard was filled with all sorts of food and vegetables that he cultivated. His family and friends looked forward to his annual harvesting of his home grown food and handmade wines. His grandchildren will always remember his Pap (cream of wheat) that he made for them that no other could duplicate. He is survived by his wife, Joanna "Ramizi" (Lima) Gibau; his children, Odette Gibau, Anna Lima Delgado, Jason Gibau and Jesse Gibau; his grandchildren, Dessiah, Dinho, Shiloh, Sian, Nia, Tyson and Jayza; his Brothers, Joao Gibau and Turibio Gibau; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Paulo Gibau. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday at 9:30AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish at 10:30AM.
