Benvinda Tavares Rosario Benvinda Tavares Rosario , 50, of Brockton passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 at her home under the care of her family and hospice after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Benvindo Lomba. Born April 4, 1961 in Brava, Cape Verde, she was a daughter of Adelino Rosario and Ernestina (Tavares) Rosario. Benvinda worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Fall River Court as a custodian. Benvinda loved to have family and friends over. She was well known for her New Year's celebrations. She had a devotion to help people in need. She is survived by her husband Benvindo Lomba; her children, Vera, Ernestina, John and Isabel Lomba; her parents, Adelino Rosario and Ernestina (Tavares) Rosario; her 8 grandchildren; her sister, Isabel Rosario from Brockton; a brother in Italy; and 6 other siblings in Brava, Cape Verde. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Wednesday, November 23rd at 9:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 10:00AM.
