Bernard A. "Bernie" Siegel, age 88, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, after a short period of ill health. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Bernie was the son of the late Harry and Esther (Wittenberg) Siegel and grew up in Brookline, MA. Bernie was predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Ann Faulkner (Campbell), and his cherished daughter Amy. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Siegel-Croker and Sue Siegel, his grandson, Max Siegel, and his brother, Steven Siegel of Wilmington, NC. He also leaves his beloved sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Bernie had a varied and industrious career before finding his calling in public service, serving as Chairman of the Board of Assessors for the City of Brockton, Massachusetts, for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially on the water sailing along the New England coast, or travelling to Hong Kong, New York City, North Carolina or the British Virgin Islands. He proudly served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.
He was a loving husband and father, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew him. Bernie will be deeply missed.
The family will hold a celebration of Bernie's life to honor his memory on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Tutto Bene 1050 Pearl St. Brockton, MA, from 12:00 – 3:00 pm.
