Erickson of Brockton March 13, 2004 Berthe G. “Beth” (Methot) Erickson. Devoted wife of 56 years to Philip W. Erickson. Loving mother of Nancy Muzzi of Scituate; Guy Erickson of Georgetown, MA; Paula DeLawter of Hingham and Dean Erickson of Simpsonville, SC. Sister of Raymond Methot of New Bedford and the late J. Paul Methot. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church 433 West St., Brockton Wednesday at 9 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers donations in Beth’s memory may be made to Hospice of Boston and Greater Brockton, 500 Belmont St. #215, Brockton, MA 02301.

Obituary

Mrs. Erickson died Saturday morning at her home after an extended illness. She was the wife of 56 years to Philip W. Erickson.

Mrs. Erickson was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Leonce and Marie (Gaudreau) Methot and was raised and educated in New Bedford. She was a graduate of Holy Family High School in New Bedford and attended Bryant College in Providence.

Mrs. Erickson had been a resident of Brockton since 1961 and previously lived in many areas of the United Sates during her husband’s 23 year naval career.

She enjoyed golf and tennis and was a former chairman of the Brockton Tennis Club.She had been a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton.
