Bertie E. (Dawson) DeLorey, 88, of Lakeville passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025. She was the wife of Robert F. DeLorey for almost 50 years.

Born in Boston on August 1, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Richard A. Dawson Sr., and Evelyn (Johnson) Bean. Bertie graduated from South Boston High School in the class of 1954.

Bertie worked as a bookkeeper for many years.

Bertie loved to cook. She also loved to make pies and award-winning jellies. She also loved visits from her children and grandchildren.  Her other enjoyments were feeding her cats and wildlife at Her home on Sunset Farm, reading, writing and music.

In addition to her husband, Robert, Bertie is survived by her children Deborah M. Edwards and her husband William, Brenda L. Estes, John "Barry" Gordon and his wife Thecla, Stella A. Farquharson and her husband Gerald, Barbara J. Erdos and her husband Alfred, Phyllis E. Lovett and her fiancé Craig Andersen, Barbara Morin and her husband William, and Robert F. DeLorey and his wife Kathleen; her sister Delores Covey; her brothers Harry Dawson and Richard A. Dawson and his wife Isi; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Bertie was predeceased by her children Eric R. Gordon and Elizabeth DeLorey.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 4th at 11:00AM in Central Cemetery, 170 Central Street, East Bridgewater. Calling hours are omitted.
