Bessieres Jean "John" Hogu Bessieres Jean "John" Hogu , 67, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Marie Claude Hogu for 43 years. Born August 21, 1941 in Port au Prince, Haiti, he was the tenth of twelve children of the late Jean Hogu and Erianne Leclerc. After arriving in the United States of America in 1964, he earned a degree in electronics and worked for Analog Devices for eighteen years before retiring. He was a life long Red Sox and Montreal Canadians fan. His pastimes included; raising doves, playing dominos with his friends and frequent visits to the Casino with his wife. Beloved husband of Marie Claude Hogu of Brockton; devoted father of Patrick J. Hogu of Brockton and Chantal C. Hogu of Pawtucket, RI; proud Papa of five grandchildren; he is also survived by three brothers, Yves-Andre, Johannes both of Boston, and Jean-Marie of FL; his sisters, Anne-Marie of NY, Felicie of FL, and Nicole of Chicago; he also is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the brother of the late Josue, Joachim, and Hub. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, August 18th at 8:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein Parish/St. Edward Church, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 9:00AM.
