Bettie
Etienne
February 19, 1987 – December 3, 2024
Bettie Etienne passed away December 3,2024, At the age of 37. She was a native of
Cap-Haitien, Haiti. Bettie truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. Her
generosity knew no bounds. Bettie was a beautiful soul who would help anyone. Her faith in
God was a source of strength and comfort for her throughout her life.
She completed her primary education at "Mère Anne-Marie" (St Joseph de Cluny) from 1992
to 1999, where she developed a solid foundation in reading, writing and mathematics. She
then completed high school at "Collège Regina Assumpta" and "Collège Simone de
Beauvoir" from 1999 to 2006, where she obtained her high school diploma.
Her thirst for knowledge led her to Quisqueya University (UNIQ), where she obtained a
bachelor's degree in administrative sciences, with a specialization in finance, from 2006 to
2010. This solid training allowed her to develop skills in financial analysis, project
management and leadership.
During her professional career, Bettie has held several important positions, including that of
investigator at INURED, administrative secretary at the Alexandre-Dorléans cabinet, credit
officer and internal control officer at the "Société Générale de Solidarité" (SOGESOL) and
SOGEBANK.
On November 8, 2023, Bettie immigrated to Brockton, Massachusetts where she worked at
Horizon Vert Naturals first in production and then in office. She was also a faithful member of
the First Haitian Church of Brockton and a member of the youth ministry.
Bettie was predeceased by Her father Raymond Etienne. She is survived by Her mother
Jaccina Dorcelus, her brothers Wislet Etienne and Reynald Etienne, her aunts Audilia
Dorcelus and Marcienne Dorcelus, her uncle Wilson Dorcelus, her cousins Evelyne
Dorcelus, Germina Dorcelus, Elysee Dorcelus, Liline Jules, Geffrard Dorcelus, Edwin
Dorcelus, Edelyne Dorcelus, Makir Darius, Samuel Darius, Amos Darius, Marc-Sael
Berthold, Samuel Berthold Junior and other relatives.
The service will be held at the First Haitian Church of Brockton at 9:30 am. The viewing will
take place beforehand, starting at 8:00 to 9:30am. Address: 940 South Main St, Brockton, MA
02301.
The burial will take place at Calvary cemetery at 163 N Cary St, Brockton, MA 02302.
Although our beloved Bettie is gone, she will live in our hearts forever
