Obituary

Betty J. Howard, age 70, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was the wife of the late Robert I. Howard. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late John D. Bisbano, Sr. and Beverly (Mossman) Waugh.

Betty was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1969. She worked as a bank teller at Eastern Bank for the past 25 years.

A loving and caring person, she was devoted to her family. She loved Christmas, enjoyed going to Disney, booking vacations, and traveling.

She leaves her three daughters, Kelly J. Connors and her husband Jason, of Brockton, Jody Beaupre and her husband Justin, of Granby, and Jamie Howard, of Brockton; three grandchildren, Kayla Connors, Kelsey Connors, and Paul Beaupre; her siblings, Heidi Picone, Heather Antkowiak, Patricia Bisbano, John D. Bisbano, Jr, Janice Meier, Christopher Bisbano, and Joseph Alves; and several nieces and nephews. Betty was the sister of the late Pamela Benn.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton.


Due to the inclement weather on Wednesday, the funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on THURSDAY, October 27, 2021, at 9:15 am, with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 am, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
