Bonnie L. (McCormick) Riordan, age 77, of Taunton, formerly of Brockton, died unexpectedly on February 15, 2022 at Morton Hospital. Bonnie was the loving wife of Michael O. Riordan. Born in Oak Park, IL, she was the daughter of the late Bernard F. and Clara D. (Allison) McCormick.
For over 25 years Bonnie owned and operated the Hair to Spare Beauty Shop on N. Main Street in Brockton. She also worked for Saftler’s of Whitman for ten years and Michael’s of Avon for two years. She was a member of the Bridgewater Ladies Club and the EAA Mansfield flying club.
Bonnie was a real craftmaster and loved sewing, knitting, crafting, embroidering, traveling and flying. She could be found at local Farmers Markets sharing her crafts and driving around town in her PT Cruiser. Some of her favorite vacations were spent driving to Alaska, Disneyland and Disneyworld in her motor home.
A loving, fair and religious person, Bonnie enjoyed time spent with family and friends.
In addition to her husband Michael, she is survived by her step children Liz and Michael Riordan, her two step grandchildren Izabella Muise and Jennifer Riordan and a niece Christine Rhodes. She was the sister of William McCormick of Chicago.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton, Wednesday, February 23, from 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Thursday at 9:30am for a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Donations in Bonnie’s name may be made to the Glastonbury Abbey, 16 Hull Street, Hingham, MA, 02043.
