Brenda F. (Tsekouras) Mattia Brenda F. (Tsekouras) Mattia , 67, of Brockton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side after coping with congestive heart failure on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Naples Community Hospital in Naples, Florida. She was the wife of John Mattia for 44 years. Born August 6, 1941 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late John Tsekouras and Concetta (Germani) Tsekouras. Raised in Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School class of 1960. Brenda for many years worked as a Hairdresser and a Day Care Provider in the Brockton area. She enjoyed Knitting, Cooking, Crossword Puzzles, Playing Cards, Taking Drives to Cape Cod, and visiting with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, John Mattia; her children, John Mattia and his wife Michelle (LeBlanc) Mattia of Naples, Florida, Gina Mattia, and Anthony Mattia both of Brockton; her grandchildren, Olivia, Justin, and Thomas; her nieces and nephews, Anthony, Steven, Christina, Alicia, Warren, Tony, Angela, and Nick; she was also blessed with many loving in-laws, cousins, and close friends. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, February 28th at 9:30AM thence to St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:30AM.
