Brian Daniel O'Leary, 77, of Raynham formerly of Brockton passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at his home. He was the husband of Jennifer K. (Bankowski) O'Leary.

The son of Daniel Joseph and Marjorie (Buckley) O'Leary, Brian - also known as Danny -  was a Brockton guy: St. Pats, East Jr. High, BHS. Sgt. Dan O'Leary fought for his country in Vietnam, later gathering a handful of degrees at area colleges and universities. Earning his living as a college and later a V.A. hospital administrator, his love was teaching. Which he did until 2017, in Holbrook, DYS "lock-ups" and several area colleges, particularly Massasoit and Roxbury Community Colleges.

Blessed with a wonderful family including his wife Jennifer, children Shayna O'Leary, Kaitlyn Baker, Stephen O'Connell and Shawnessy Hallisey; four grandkids and two great grandkids. He was predeceased by his older brother Denny. Nieces Brenda O'Leary,  Annmarie Orticerio, nephew Dennis O'Leary, cousin Jay Leary and a cherished circle of new and life long friends made every day interesting, brightening the good days and softening all the others.

Never a fan of fancy resorts or expensive cruises, bicycling around Boston with a book and a bottle of water made for a refreshing day. Town, school sporting events were a core activity throughout the years as were any and all family activities and events.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street Brockton on Saturday, October 7th at 9:30AM thence to Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman Street, Brockton where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors. Calling hours Friday from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.
