Obituary

Brian E. Woodward, age 60, of Brockton, died unexpectedly at his home on December 13, 2022. Brian was born and raised in Brockton, son of the late Cynthia (Proule) Woodward and John C. Woodward Sr. He was a graduate of Southeastern Regional Technical Vocational High School in South Easton.

Brian served in the United States Navy and was stationed in Virginia. He received the Meritorious Unit Commendation, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and Navy Expeditionary medal. For many years, Brian resided in St. Petersburg Florida where he worked in the healthcare industry.

Brian was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing softball and backgammon and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews and dogs.

Brian was the brother of Kevin W. Woodward of Brockton and Shannon M. Bauer of Bethlehem, CT and the late John C. Woodward, Jr. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

Services for Brian will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, on March 6, 2023 at 11:30am. Donations in his name may made to the MSPCA.
