In Loving Memory of Callie Pearl (Robinson) Cansler

With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Callie Pearl (Robinson) Cansler on September 17th 2026, Callie left this world at the Life Care Center in West Bridgewater at the age of 80. Callie was a devoted wife, a steady presence, and a woman whose quiet strength and kindness shaped the lives of all who knew her.

Born on February 7, 1946, in Wetumpka, Alabama, Callie was the cherished daughter of Pearl Robinson and Lester Robinson. As the oldest of nine children, she grew up with a deep sense of responsibility, compassion, and family devotion- qualities she carried throughout her life.

Callie was the beloved wife of William F. Cansler, with whom she shared a life built on loyalty, companionship, and enduring love. Callie also leaves behind two sons, David Wayne Cansler and his wife Theresa of Brockton, Curtis Lee Cansler and his wife Jennifer of Taunton, MA. Two grandsons Curtis Lee Cansler Jr. and his partner Stephanie H of Taunton, Jaime Aarron Cansler and his wife Ann of Taunton, MA, as well as 5 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, LaShonda Elizabeth Hazard of Providence, Rhode Island, whose memory remained close to Callie’s heart. She is also preceded in death by her sisters Joan Robinson and Tina Robinson.

Callie leaves behind her siblings, who will forever hold her memory close: Levord Robinson of Alabama, Shirley Robinson-Jefferson of Atlanta, Georgia, Jeanette Robinson-Yard and her husband of Brockton, Massachusetts, Jackie Robinson of Detroit, Michigan, Ricky Robinson and his wife of Natick, Massachusetts, Wayne Robinson and his wife of Manchester, New Hampshire. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews.

A devoted Jehovah’s Witness, Callie lived her faith with sincerity and steadfastness. Her spiritual convictions guided her daily life, offering her comfort, purpose, and a deep sense of hope.

Callie also found joy in the art of sewing, a craft she practiced with patience and creativity. Whether she was mending something with care or creating something new, sewing was one of the ways she expressed love- stitching together fabric the same way she stitched together moments of comfort and connection for those around her.

Her passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her memory remains a blessing- carried forward in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. The lessons she lived by- kindness, faith, and quiet strength- will continue to guide those she leaves behind.

As we honor Callie’s life, we hold close the love she gave, the stories she shared, and the gentle presence that will forever be missed.

Visitation for Callie will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 from 9am-12pm. Interment to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Massachusetts at 2pm.

Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 1pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 329 E Ashland Street, Brockton, MA 02302.
