Camille A. Taylor

Camille Ann Dennison Taylor was born November 14th, 1935 in Watertown Massachusetts and passed away peacefully May 18th, 2026 after a brief illness.

Camille studied at Radcliffe college, after graduation from Watertown High School. Her remarkable singing voice led to a successful career entertaining at various New England venues and captivating audiences wherever she appeared.

Camille married Boston radio announcer Truman Taylor, and together they built a home in Brockton, Massachusetts where she raised 5 children: Stacey A. Britto of Providence, RI, Deirdre E. Taylor of Middleboro, MA, Matthew J. Taylor of Abington, MA, and Johanna Christina Taylor of Rumford, RI.

Camille's passion for consumer advocacy led her to establish the first Consumer Affairs Commission in Brockton, providing free mediation and dispute resolution services to resolve conflicts between area residents and businesses. She later ran for a seat on the Brockton City Council, losing by just a few votes in a very close race.

She leaves behind a beautiful legacy, survived by her devoted husband, Truman; her children and their spouses; and her many beloved grandchildren. Camille’s generosity and the unforgettable gift of her singing voice will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 9-10am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10am at Sacred Heart Parish, 770 Mt Auburn St, Watertown. Her burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Watertown.

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer a donation in Camille's name made to the American Cancer Society.
