Candida M."Dolly" (Basilci) Russell 94 of Brockton, passed away peacefully in Florida after a brief illness on April 28, 2020. She is survived by her son Gary Russell (Janet) formally of Brockton, 4 grandchildren, David Russell(Stacie) , Heather Akie (Tom) of Newton, Jenna Jordan(Matthew) of Needham, Derek (Jennifer) of Newton, and 4 great grandchildren, Oliver, Josselyn, Aria and Sophia. Dolly was born and raised in Dedham. During World War II while still in High School she worked for the Plymouth Rubber Company in Canton, in support of the war effort, she dreamed of someday being a translator during the war but never realized that dream. The Plymouth Rubber Company is where she met her future husband Lawrence Russell. After graduating from Dedham HS she worked for Plymouth Rubber Company in Canton, in support of the war effort. Dolly, had many interests including spending time with her grandchildren, cooking Italian food for the family, tending to over 100 flowers she and her husband planted every year around their home along with taking care of her aging siblings over the many years. Dolly was always a very sweet and caring person. She will me missed by one and all. Services are private.
