Online Obituaries Carl W. Simmons, Sr., 86 of West Bridgewater, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Brockton. He was the husband of the late Betty (Boudreau) Simmons. Born July 11, 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of the late Raymond Simmons and Della (Surdan) Simmons. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Carl worked for Lanes Furniture and Joe Angelos Caf for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Enterprise Club. A special thanks to his friends, Shawn and Joe Angelo who were always there for him. He is survived by his granddaughters, Colleen, Kathryn and Meagan Simmons; his sister, Myrtle Lincoln; his brother, Robert Simmons; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the Father of the late Carl W. Simmons, Jr. and Kathleen Murphy and the brother of the late Shirley Fenn, Judith Linsky, Richard Simmons, Barbara Allen and Frank Simmons. Funeral Information Following cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, March 8th from 11:00AM-12:00PM followed by a funeral service at 12;00PM.
