Obituary

Carlee was born on November 21,1954, to the late Clarence L. Kirk, Sr., and Earnia M. Kirk in Pachuta Mississippi. She was the third born of nine children. Carlee had a real passion for serving and loving the Lord and understanding what it meant to be a devoted child of God. Carlee passed away on November 10, 2021 In 1961/62 at the age of seven Carlee and her family relocated from Pachuta, Mississippi to Brockton, Massachusetts. During her early years she frequented church at Messiah Baptist Church before becoming a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in 1980. In 1972 Carlee graduated from Brockton High School. After graduating from high school, she went on to further her education at Massasoit Community College. She first majored in theatre arts becoming a part of their theatrical makeup and set design teams. She had a flair for the arts, and this was exhibited in her many roles in various community productions. Serving as an advocate for social injustices, Carlee was an active member of the NAACP under Nan Ellison in the 70's. She continued to advocate for Christianity and positive social norms by starting teen youth programs with Jeanne Coward and often meeting with BHS administration in the 90's to bring prayer back into the schools. Over the course of time, she achieved numerous awards from Eastern Edison, H&R Block, and from her areas of study. Graduating with degrees in Psychology and Elementary Ed from Massasoit Community College and Bridgewater State University. She then attended Liberty University Online Programs with a focus on Christian counselling. Just a year ago on November 10th of 2020 she was ordained as a Minister through Universal Life Church Ministries. Carlee was a devoted mother of Matthew C. Goldsboro and his wife Tenyka, Chimere J. Goldsboro, Mark A. Tyler, and Ciana D. Tyler. Grandmother of Jahnari C. Desilier, Xahdari T. Goldsboro, Taniya C. Goldsboro, Cijai D. Tyler, Joel C. Desilier, Jr. Cerenity I. Lebrun, Chandler E. Moseley, and Massai O. Goldsboro. Sister of Denise Kirk, Michael A. Kirk, Sandra F. Kirk, Warren L. Kirk, Sheila Rollins, and the late Clarence L. Kirk, Jr, Vermer Pina, and Samuel Jordan Sr. Calling hours will be held at the Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 24 Pleasant Street, Brockton on Saturday, November 20th from 9:00 t0 11:00am. Followed by a funeral service at 11. Carlee will be laid to rest at Melrose Cemetery, at a later date privately.
