Carlos A. Timas, 66, of Brockton, known as Caca, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at St. Elizabeth's hospital in Boston.
Born in Fogo, Cape Verde; he was the son of the late Belarmino G. Da Veiga (Paizin, Nene) of Somerville, and mother Isaura Gomes Timas of Dorchester.
Caca was a hardworking man, very friendly. He worked as a welder at Heat Maker for many years, and Russell Electric. He really enjoyed watching sports, was a devoted Celtics and Benfica fan. He loved his family.
He is survived by many siblings; Nelson Timas, Maria Timas, Fatima Timas, Vanda Timas, Eduardo Timas, Osvaldino Da Veiga, Maisa Da Veiga, Ana Paula Da Veiga, Sandra Andrade, the late Irene Da Veiga, Maria Barbosa, Sergio Timas, Belarmino Monteiro, Alland Timas, Alina Timas and the late Alexi Crisostomo. He is father to Paulo Timas, Jair Timas, Gilson Timas and daughters Malisa Amado, and Katia Timas.
Caca left grandchildren, nieces and nephews, many extended family members and friends all in deep sadness.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 16th at 10:00AM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(Rt123) Brockton. Limited capacity due to COVID-19. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00PM.

All visitors when returning to their cars will please exit the property to allow others to enter.
All visitors will be able to greet family members from a safe distance but not able to touch.
