Carmelo Manti Carmelo Manti , 84, of Brockton, passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Elena (Gentile) Manti for over 60 years. Born April 24, 1926 in Italy, he was the son of the late Carmelo Manti and Santa (Borrelli) Manti. Mr. Manti was a retired Bricklayer for several Italian Companies. He was a Brockton resident for over 45 years and was a member of the Sons of Italy. He loved to garden and make his own wine. He was the husband of Elena (Gentile) Manti; brother-in-law of Pasquele Gentile of Scituate; uncle of Carmelina Negri of Brockton, Peppino Salomone of British Columbia and Marcello Salomone of Florida; he is also survived by several other nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Tuesday at 8:00AM thence to Christ the King Parish, 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM.
