Obituary

Carol M. (Conroy) Jacobucci 69, of Brockton died Friday January 7, 2011 at Signature Healthcare/Brockton,Hospital. She was the loving wife of Joseph P. Jacobucci for 41 years. Carol was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late Leo and Thelma (Lawn) Conroy and remained a lifelong resident of the city. A 1960 graduate of Brockton High School, Carol had worked for many years at Knapp Shoe. She had also worked at Cricket Lane and JLS.
Carol loved music, dancing and conversation. She was known as “Mrs. J” to all the neighborhood children who, as they grew up, always came back to visit her. Carol treasured her time spent with her family and friends.
She was the sister of Leo Conroy of Michigan, William of Randolph, Michael of Brockton, David of New York, Richard of New Hampshire and the late Grace Taylor, Maureen Conroy, Beverly McGeary and John Conroy. Carol also leaves several nieces and nephews, many god children and her close friends Eleanor Neal, Sandy Harris and Rita Hainey. She was “Nana” to Joey and Dominic Martello and Matthew and Nicholas Matta.
Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 10 am. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 5-8 pm.
