Obituary

Carol E. (Donnell) (Casagrande) Melamed, 54 years, died Sunday January 27, 2002, at the Brockton Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Boston daughter of Edith (Morse) Thistle of Riverside, CA and J. Scott Donnell of Kennewick, WA. She was raised and educated in Pasadena and San Jose, CA, moving back to the Boston area in 1965. She had been employed as a Nurses Aide and Nurses Technician for various Nursing Homes in the area and Quincy hospital for many years. She enjoyed her cats and computer. She also enjoyed astrology.

She is survived by her son John S. Soracco of Quincy and a daughter Diane Soracco of Rhode Island. Her parents Edith (Morse) Thistle of Riverside, CA and J. Scott Donnell of Kennewick, WA. Her former husband Gary Casagrande. She was the wife of the late Bruce Melamed. She is also survived by 2 sisters Alice Desroches and Kathy Honeycutt, both of Anchorage Alaska, 1 step sister Debra Kendrick of Heppner, Oregon, 2 step brother Randall Bashta of Acton, MA and Dennis Bashta of California. Also survived by many cousins in Massachusetts.
