Online Obituaries Carole A. (Brady) Groom Oliveira, 65, of Whitman, was received by God Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She was the wife of the late James C. Oliveira and was once the love of the late Gerald F. Groom. Born July 29, 1946 in Brockton, she is the daughter of the late Robert F. Brady, Sr. and Edna M. (Durkin). She graduated from Brockton High School in 1965 and attended Massasoit Community College. Carole owned National Electrical Testing Service, Inc. in Brockton. A member of the Bay State Riders, a chapter of the Goldwing Touring Association, she was an active family woman who made room in her heart and home for people in need. Some of her favorite activities included researching family genealogy, taking trips to Nantasket Beach and Laconia, NH, watching Red Sox games, sitting in the front row at the South Shore Music Circus, chasing tour buses and getting backstage to meet her favorite musicians. She is best known for hosting large family gatherings, driving dangerously and calling her brothers and daughter up to twenty times a day. Carole is survived by her daughter, Wendy A. (Groom) Edwards and her husband Robert of VA; her step-son, Russell J. Oliveira and his wife Veronica (Byrd) of FL; her grandchildren, Duncan, Manna, Shyenne and Sequoia; her two brothers, Avon Selectman Robert F. Brady, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Avon and State Representative Michael D. Brady of Brockton, her "sister" Ann J. Gardner and her husband Peter of Rockland, and her nieces nephews Randi, Robert, Kaeci and Angelo. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Friday, June 29th at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Thursday 4:00-8:00PM.
