Carolyn (Viola) Anania
Carolyn (Viola) Anania, 90, of Brockton and Bridgewater, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Baypointe Rehabilitation Skilled Care Center, Brockton after a short period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Anthony Anania.
Born April 3, 1921 in Gasperina, Italy she was a daughter of the late Joseph Viola and Assunta (Raspa) Viola. Carolyn was a resident of Brockton and Bridgewater for 60 years. She was a retired garment worker for Brockton Sportswear where she had been employed for over 20 years. Carolyn was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union. She loved to cook and was very devoted to her family and friends.
She is survived by her sister Rita Viola of Brockton. She was the aunt of Robert Anania of CT., Kenneth Anania of Easton and Laraine Beliveau of CA. She was the mother of the late Richard Anania and Denise (Anania) Julien and the sister of the late Carmela Anania.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday at 8:00AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Thursday 4:00-7:00PM.
