Obituary

Carolyn M. (Mercurio) Bruso of Bridgewater formerly of W. Bridgewater and Brockton died April 2, 2008 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the devoted wife of the late Thomas M. Bruso. She was born and raised in Everett, a daughter of the late Nelson and Anna (Bright) Mercurio. Following her high school graduation she attended Mansfield Hair dressing Academy. For a brief time she worked as a hairdresser in the Brockton area. For the past 15 years she had been a resident at High Pond Estates. While living there she enjoyed bocce, bingo, cards and creative arts including ceramics and oil painting. She had been a member of the Holbrook Rod and Gun Club with her husband. Mrs. Bruso was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church where she was a member of the choir.
She is survived by her sister Barbara Belanger and her husband Raymond of Hanover, a nephew Raymond Belanger, Jr. and his wife Susan of Pembroke and their children William and Kerry. She also leaves 4 stepchildren, Debra Reid of Stoughton, Carole Goodis of Norton, Sandra Smith of Maine and Thomas Bruso, Jr. of Taunton and several grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
