Online Obituaries Caterina M. Kitty (Chiti) Mooney, 87, of Brockton, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Cedar HillHealthcare in Randolph after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late James Cullen Mooney. Born April 26, 1927 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Augusto and Maria Chiti. A lifelong Brockton resident, she graduated from Brockton High School. Kitty worked for Plymouth Home National Bank in Brockton as a secretary for marketing. She also had worked at Dempseys Village Barn in West Bridgewater. She enjoyed trips to Twin Rivers to play the slots but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was an avid Boston Celtics fan and enjoyed going to yard sales and listening to her son play music. Kitty was proud to be part of her club of card playing friends for over 50 years. She is survived by her children, James Mooney and his wife Leslie of VT, Laurie Benvie of Taunton and Michael Mooney and his wife Doreen of Taunton; her grandchildren, Megan Mackrides and her husband Scott, Maura Mooney, Meredith Clough and her husband Justin, Kelli Riddell and her husband Robert, Christopher Benvie and his wife Kristine, Jesse Beaulieu, Meredith Beaulieu, and Casandra Creamer; her great grandchildren, Griffin, Vivienne, Annabella, Cullen, Maggie and Jaxon; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, October 28th at 11:00AM.
