Born in Brooklyn, Cathy grew up in Staten Island until she left for college in Upstate New York, settling in southeastern Massachusetts for the largest part of her life. Cathy's greatest joys came from her family, pets, reading, and travels. Through much of her life, Cathy greatly enjoyed her many travel experiences, from London to Las Vegas, Quebec to Churchill Canada, and Pigeon Forge TN to southern Florida. An avid reader, Cathy enjoyed reading everything, from historical and zoological, contemporary non-fiction and fiction, to investigative journalism. Her second greatest adventure was a trip she arranged for herself and her father to see, up close, the polar bears of Churchill Canada in their natural habitat; a long-time dream of her and her father. Her first, was her family; especially, her two children. In addition to her husband, Dennis, Cathy is survived by two children, Emily Ehrreich-Cifrodelli (Dakota) of Exton PA and Alex Ehrreich of Franklin MA; her brother, John Connolly (Lorraine) of Staten Island NY; a sister, Susanne Connolly-Kanaga (Brian) of Mountain View CO; her Uncle Jerry and Aunt Kathy Connolly of Westin FL, Aunt Nancy and Uncle Wayne Frost; and, many dear cousins (Shannon, Caitlin, Jennifer) and nieces (Megan, Erin). Cathy was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth Freeman, as well as her father, John Connolly, who were both deeply inspirational to her. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 between 2:00-4:30 pm in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home at 17 Main Street, Route 105, Lakeville MA.
