Obituary

Catherine J. (Sims) (Jackson) Jennings, 73 years, died Friday evening at West Acres Nursing Home, Brockton after a brief illness. Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence (Maynard) Sims. She was a graduate of Girl’s High School and a Secretarial school in Boston. For many years she had been employed as a secretary at a Boston law firm. She had been a resident of Brockton since 1985 and attended the Messiah Baptist Church of Brockton. Catherine had been a volunteer who read to children at Brockton Elementary schools. She is survived by her husband Leonard E. Jennings of Brockton, one sister Priscilla Merritt of Boston and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ada Williams, Frances Carrington and Garland Sims.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2006, 12:30pm at 55 City Hall Plaza, Brockton, MA.
