DIGNAN – Of Brockton, formerly of Cambridge, July 23, 2005, Catherine M. “Kay”, (Schopp), 85 years. Wife of the late Edward P. Dignan, Sr.. Mother of Robert T. and his son Sean Dignan both from Brockton, Edward P., Jr., his longtime companion Tish McManus and her son Erik Lolar all of Brockton. Also survived by her friends Roberta McManus, Kevin McManus, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral Service Wednesday in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St., (Rte 123) Brockton at 10:00 AM. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Catherine maybe made to Old Colony Hospice One Credit Union Way., Randolph, MA 02368.


BROCKTON – Catherine M. “Kay” (Schopp) Dignan, age 85, of Brockton, formerly of Cambridge, died July 23, 2005 at Brockton Hospital after a long illness. Wife of the late Edward P. Dignan, Sr.. She was born in Boston to the late Englebert and Bridget (Doherty) Schopp, and raised in Cambridge. Catherine moved to Brockton with her husband in 1964. She worked as a secretary for the Cancer Society for over twenty years. A member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Catherine enjoyed Bingo, reading, crosswords, and especially her dear Boston Red Sox. She is survived by her sons Robert T. Dignan of Brockton, Edward P. Dignan, Jr.. grandson Sean Dignan of Brockton and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.


Catherine was a dear mother to her son’s longtime companion Tish McManus and her son Erik Lolar all of Brockton, and her friends Roberta McManus, Kevin McManus.
