Parker of Brockton, February 13, 2005 Catherine “Nancy” (Clark) Parker, 73 yrs, wife of the late Richard W. Parker, Sr, died peacefully at home after a lengthy illness. Loving mother of 5 sons, Richard W. Parker Jr. of Quincy and his wife Carolyn, James T. Parker of Brockton and wife Laurie, Stephen M. Parker of Raynham and his wife Diane, Michael Parker of Brockton, Frank J. Parker of Port St. Lucie, FL and wife Kris, three daughters, Mary Doiron of Naples, FL and husband Jerry, Teresa J. Green of N. Kingstown, RI and husband Tom, and Kathleen L. Parker of Brockton and her friend Jack Tobin of South Easton and son-in-law Thomas J. Cronin, Sr. of Brockton.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St (rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8 am, Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes at 9 am. We are honored to have great-niece Lisa Pereira, daughter of Herb and Irene (Savard) Ferreira, as the solo vocalist during the funeral. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 pm, and 7-9 pm.
Catherine “Nancy” (Clark) Parker, 73 yrs, wife of the late Richard W. Parker, Sr, died peacefully at home after a lengthy illness.
Lifelong resident of Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1948 and was awarded a bachelor’s degree in nursing from SMU. Employed by the Brockton VA Medical Center for 26 yrs as a registered nurse, in 1982 she founded the nurse’s union, NAGE Local R1-187, serving as its first president. She was also instrumental in starting the Tyke Site Day Care at the center. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family, painting, and playing whist. She was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and recently enjoyed a Red Sox Cruise with her daughters. She was a long-time communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, formerly of St. Patrick’s Church.

Green of N. Kingstown, RI and husband Tom, and Kathleen L. Parker of Brockton and her friend Jack Tobin of South Easton and son-in-law Thomas J. Cronin, Sr of Brockton.
She is survived by her beloved brother, Stephen W. Clark of Peekskill, NY and his wife Camille, brothers-in-law, Robert C. Lundin and Ed Savard both of Middleboro, and sister-in-law Jane Clark of Jackson Mississippi. She was predeceased by devoted brothers Frank J. Clark of Jackson, Mississippi, George W. Clark of Brockton and wife Josie, and sisters Virginia Savard of Middleboro, Irene Clark of Brockton, Christina “Teresa” Trent of Brockton and husband Ted, and Viola M Lundin of Peekskill NY.
She is also survived by loving grandchildren, Gabriel & Matthew Parker of East Bridgewater; Jaime Parker of Watertown CT, Brian and Jackie Parker of Brockton; Katherine (Katie) R., Thomas J Jr, and Mary C. Cronin of Brockton; Gregory and Kelly Parker of Raynham; Catherine, James and Annie Green of N. Kingstown, RI; and Jeremy Parker and his wife Cassandra, Amie Parker, Melanie Perez, Rose Roman, and Orestes Perez of Port St. Lucie, FL; 1 great-granddaughter, Amanda and many very dear nieces and nephews, Steve Clark of Compond NY, Thomas Clark of Houston,Texas, Jeanne Sabshin of NY, Laurie Strange of Beacon, NY, and Maureen Mueller of Coldspring NY; Phil Clark of Lisle IL, Jeffrey Clark of Oldsmar FL, and Linda Clark of Framingham; Irene Ferreira of Taunton, Frank Savard of Peabody, Billy Savard of Houston, Texas; Ann Buckley of New Mexico, Nancy Hecht of Brockton, Ted Trent of Brockton, Sue Meister of Taunton, Laurie Trent-Robinson of Brockton; Sandra Corradina of Brockton, Robert Lundin of Middleboro, Michael Lundin of Kingston; David Clark of Falmouth. She also has several wonderful great-neices and nephews.
