Cesar Augusto Aleman, 86, beloved, husband, grandfather and friend passed away at home on September 23, 2017 after bravely battling the devastating illness, Alzheimers disease for six years.
He was surrounded by his loving family and leaves behind a devoted wife Marta Emelda Aleman; daughters Monique Aleman and her children Lucien Cesar Haikal and George Assad Haikal and her partner Timothy Fitzgerald of Quincy; Lisa Marie Liapopoulos and her husband Sophocles and their children Christos Aleman Liapopoulos and Markos Theodore Liapopoulos; Sonya Aleman and her husband Shawn Marando; and, a sister Gloria Aleman (Panama).
Cesar was born in Panama on May 8, 1931 to parents Julio and Germaine Aleman. He came to the United States where he received his Masters Degree in Public Health from Yale University. He and Marta were married on July 7, 1962 and recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.
Cesar was appointed Consul General of Panama and also worked for over 25 years as the Executive Director of the American Lung Association of Southeastern Massachusetts, a position from which he retired.
Cesar was well known to many due to his civic and community volunteering including his service as a Mason. He was respected and admired for his loyalty, humility and extraordinary kindness towards others. He was a fiercely protective family man who enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(Rt.123) Brockton on Tuesday, September 26th at 10:00AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton where a funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 11:00AM. Private cremation will follow. Calling hours Monday from 4:00 to 8:00PM.
