Online Obituaries Cesira R. (DiMarzio) Nuovo, 88, of Brockton, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Joseph Nuovo. Born March 23, 1926 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano DiMarzio and Julia (Tiberii) DiMarzio. Raised in Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School. Cesira was a Legal Secretary and was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church in Brockton. She was the mother of the late Joseph Nuovo, Jr. and Fedela Nuovo. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Barry and her husband Charles; her nieces and nephews, Paula Lee, Alfred Matta, Donna Flanagan, Peggy Tonucci, Jack Barry, Colleen Carse, Julie Cray and Timothy Barry; she is also survived by several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rita Matta. Funeral Information Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Wednesday, April 23rd from 9:30-11:00AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
