Charlene House Doel, (65), of Lakeville, MA passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 12/28/22 following a long journey with Alzheimer's Disease.
Charlene was born in Cleveland, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Charles P. and Jean K. House. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jeff M. Doel, son Russell Charles Doel, sister Mary Jean (Dennis) Gates, nephew Will Gates, niece Jennifer (Daniel) Ellis and extended family whom she loved.
She graduated as valedictorian from Bayou Academy (1975) in Cleveland before attending Mississippi State University and then transferring to the University of Pennsylvania -The Wharton School of Business. She graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a dual major in Finance and Marketing.
She was employed by AT&T (Jackson, MS) as Manager -Business Marketing & Technical Support, South Central Bell (Birmingham, AL) as an Account Executive, and Telco Systems (Norwood, MA) as the Senior Marketing and Communications manager, and as an Independent Marketing and Consultant for non-profit and business organizations.
Charlene attended Cornerstone Community Church, (formerly Mullein Hill Baptist) for 33 years, dedicating her life to God. She was very active in AWANA, VBS, teaching Sunday School, and attending Bible studies and prayer groups. She had a love for children and children's ministries, especially Operation Christmas Child. Charlene volunteered her time and media skills to promote children's ministries, special events, and speakers for Cornerstone and the Christian Academy. She served on the Board of Directors for Mullein Hill Christian Academy, Lakeville, MA from 1998 to 2001.
Her family wishes to extend their gratitude for the excellent care and compassion given by Cranberry Home Care, Heights Crossing Compass Memory Support, By Your Side Nursing Care, Autumn Hospice, and their staffs.
A celebration of Charlene's life will be held in 2023. The date and time will be announced later.
