Online Obituaries Charlene M. (Murphy) Doody, 69, of Brockton, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Norwood after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Peter P. Doody and his former wife Barbara Doody. Born November 15, 1944 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Ralph J. Murphy and Rita F. (Cross) Murphy. Raised in Rockland she graduated in the first class of Cardinal Spellman High School in 1962 where she was a cheerleader. She then graduated from Curry College with a Bachelors Degree in Education. Charlene was a teacher at Holy Family School in Rockland and also taught in Greenfield and Holbrook. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Judy Nagle, Gregg Doody, Scott Doody and the late Jennifer Nagle; her siblings, Kathy Hyde, Patrice Sweeney, Daniel Murphy, Ralph Murphy, Jr., Denise Cargill and Karen Perry; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, February 4th at 10:00AM thence to St. Patrick Church, 335 Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 11:00AM.
