Obituary

Charles Richard Brunaccini, 92, of Bridgewater MA passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving Family. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Dolan) Brunaccini of 57 years.

Born October 1, 1930, in Medford, MA he was the son of the late Candeloro and Julia (Bruno) Brunaccini.

Charles Brunaccini was raised and educated in Medford, MA and was a graduate of Bentley College. He retired from the John Hancock Insurance Co., as Director of Promotional Marketing.

Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War. He was also a lifetime member of the Medford V.F.W. Post 1012, holding many positions most recently serving on the Board of Directors.

In addition to his loving wife of 57 years Charles is survived by his adoring children, Richard C. Brunaccini and wife Courtney of East Bridgewater, Lawrence E. Brunaccini and wife Amy of Westford and Lynne A. Brunaccini and her fiancé Frederick Lindberg of Topsfield. Charles will be missed by his 6 grandchildren, Nicholas, Mia, Emily, Liam, Hannah, and Jack. Charles is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Charles was the loving brother of the late, Beatrice, Joseph, Robert, Lawrence, and Mary Brunaccini

Charles Brunaccini was known to be an avid history buff, who could give a detailed lesson on any topic. He traveled to many parts of the world, including visiting every US state except Alaska.

Charles was a sports enthusiast and was well known for his speed when he played high school football and ran track for the Navy. He coached baseball for many years and was very involved in youth sports.

He enjoyed traveling to Patriots away games with his friends from Stone Meadow. He also enjoyed going to the casino, watching old movies, particularly westerns. But, most of all, Charlie took pleasure in spending time with his family, enjoying good food, especially his desserts.

Charles was the smartest, most caring person you could meet. "A true gentleman.", as many of those who knew him would often say. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul on Saturday, October 29th at 11:00AM in St. John Catholic Church, 210 Central St., East Bridgewater. Interment will follow in Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater. Visitation will be prior to the Mass from 10:00AM to 11:00AM in the CHURCH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital or The National Coalition For Homeless Veterans .
