Father of Brenda Faria of Bridgewater; Patti Malaspino of Cape Coral, FL; Cindy Foley of Brockton and Maureen Johnson of Halifax. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 10 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Friday 5-8 pm.
Obituary
Charles Richard MacTighe, Jr. died Tuesday evening at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston. Mr. MacTighe was born in Middleboro, raised in West Bridgewater and had been a lifelong resident of East Bridgewater. He was the son of the late Charles R. and Flora E. (Dearing) MacTighe. During Korean War he served in the US Army. He had been a truck driver, who drove an 18 wheeler for Intercity Transportation in Easton for 24 years. Charlie was a member of the Samoeset Rod & Gun Club and the 49ers Club, he was also an avid fan of Hometown West Bridgewater Wildcats and he also was a Nascar fan.
He is survived by his wife Beverly (Hayes) MacTighe, four daughters, Brenda Faria of Bridgewater; Patti Malaspino of Cape Coral, FL; Cindy Foley of Brockton and Maureen Johnson of Halifax, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
