Obituary

Charles A. Crayton, Jr. Charles A. Crayton, Jr. , 66, of Brockton, died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital of Boston after a brief illness. He was the husband of Tamara (Fernandes) Crayton. Born December 25, 1941 in Weymouth, he was the son of the late Charles A. Crayton, Sr. and Valerie (Tuttle) Crayton. Raised in Randolph, Charles served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a pressman for the Boston Herald for many years. Charles was an active member of Boston Pressman Union and was also a member of the Whitman VFW and the American Legion. He was a resident of Brockton for over 35 years. Mr. Crayton enjoyed walking. He was known as the "East Side walker". Charles was always keeping his neighborhood clean picking up trash. He also enjoyed spending time with lots of friends. He is survived by his wife, Tamara Crayton of Brockton; his children, Kimberly Crayton of Seattle, Washington and David A. Crayton and his wife Andrea of Winslow, Maine; his siblings, William Crayton of North Carolina, Marjorie Warren of Bridgewater, and Murial McGinn of Middleboro; he is also survived by five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Friday, February 22nd at 9:30AM thence to St. Edith Stein/St Edward Church, 71 East Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in VA National Cemetery, Bourne. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Thursday 4:00-8:00PM.
