Charles J. Fiandaca III

Charles Joseph “CJ” Fiandaca III, 38, of Brockton, passed away on October 17, 2026, at Boston Medical Center after a courageous two-month fight against a sudden and serious illness.

CJ was born July 28th, 1988, in Quincy, MA. He was the son of Gail and Charles Fiandaca Jr. of Brockton. Younger brother to Stephanie Fiandaca-Strickler and her late husband Ian Strickler of Virginia. Younger brother to Andrea Fiandaca and spouse John Barrett and uncle to Callan, all of Kingston. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

CJ grew up in Quincy having graduated from Quincy High School in 2006. It was at QHS that CJ discovered welding which led him to his career as a plasma cutter/welder at Granite Steel. He also found a passion for gaming having developed many beloved friendships both locally and beyond. He was known to travel the country with his friends attending gaming conventions or heading to RI to hit up the arcade; making countless memories. CJ was also content spending time at home with family reminiscing about all the memories of a well spent childhood. Although his stature was imposing, CJ was a gentle giant. Enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: a home cooked meal, staying up late playing games with friends, playing with his sister’s dogs.

CJ insisted on being an organ donor often jokingly stating “I’m not going to need them anymore” and with his death, 5 lives have been forever changed. He was also adamant that no fanfare come after his death, so with that, no mass or funeral will be held. He did want a celebration-of-life where family and friends could come together and laugh and tell stories over a glass of rum (his drink of choice) which will be held November 29th.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in CJ’s honor to a charity of your choice. His death has left a hole in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. We will continue to cherish the memories we have of him in the days to come.
