Obituary

Garrity of Brockton, May 30, 2003, Charles L. Garrity, III, 50 years. Father of Linda G. Thornton and Christine M. Garrity. He also leaves three grandchildren.

A Memorial Gathering will be held in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts, One Abbey Lane, Middleboro, MA 02346.

Obituary Information

Mr. Garrity died Friday at his sister’s home in Brockton after a brief illness. Born in Stoneham, he was a son of the late Charles L. II and Dorothy (Conley) Garrity. He was raised and educated in Brockton, and was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1971. He had been employed for over 30 years as a boilermaker with Local 29, Quincy. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, fishing, hiking and canoeing.

He is survived by two daughters Linda G. Thornton of Helotes TX, Christine M. Garrity of Brockton, three grandchildren, two brothers Daniel T. Garrity and Michael D. Garrity both of Brockton, four sisters Patricia M. Murphy of Brockton, Diane Lema of Pennsylvania, Deborah A. Sullivan of North Carolina and Paula J. Gill of Brockton and many nieces and nephews.
