Charles N. “Miracle Man” Pranskus, age 29, of Brockton, died peacefully surrounded by family and friends August 27, 2013, after battling a lengthy illness since birth. Charlie was the loving son of Charles E. and Tina L. (Grande) Pranskus. He was a 2001 graduate of Southeastern Regional High School and enjoyed the demolition derby, car races and spending time with friends and family. He also enjoyed the Bruins and Patriots. Charlie’s goal in life was to become a firefighter and was recently named the first honorary Brockton Firefighter. Through the years of his illness, Charlie never gave up, never complained and was an inspiration to all he met.
In addition to his parents Charlie leaves his devoted sister Nicole Penticost and her husband Dennis of East Taunton; his niece and goddaughter Gabriella; nephew Deegan; godparents Bruce Duquette and Cindy Grande-Gareis; Nana Ethelmay Grande, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was the grandson of the late “Little Nana” Margaret Pranskus and Alfred Grande.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Saturday at 8am for a funeral mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am.
