IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles "Sonny"
Wise
August 7, 1945 – August 29, 2023
Charles "Sonny" H. Wise of West Bridgewater, MA passed away on August 29, 2023 after a battle with cancer. Born in Brockton on August 7, 1945 – he was the son of the late Charles and Rose Wise.
Sonny was the loving husband and constant companion to Pamela (McCarthy) Wise. He was predeceased by brothers, Harold Parker and Raymond Wise, and sons, Christian and Chad Wise. He was a loving and devoted father to Tracy Vale and her husband, Brian, Charles (Chuck) Wise and his wife, Lisa. He was also a wonderful stepdad to Peter Diman and his wife, Amy, and Andrea (Diman) Jachimczyk and her husband, Dan. He was also a proud grandfather of Andrew, Alec, Brian, Alison, Jordan, Christian, Haley, Jake, Colin and Aria – and Uncle to several nieces and nephews. He loved his large extended family very much.
Sonny attended Brockton High School and graduated from the Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School Electrician Program. He went on to be an accomplished electrician with Union I.B.E.W. 223 for 30 years.
Sonny greatly enjoyed trips to Cape Cod with his wife and family, along with taking trips with Pam to Las Vegas. You didn't want to end up facing him in a hand of poker, as his love for the game was matched only by his prowess.
He was an excellent cook, and anyone who ever enjoyed the meals and homemade pasta sauce that he poured his soul into will remember his cooking fondly.
Best of all, he loved to laugh and make others laugh with his quick wit and dry sense of humor, which he displayed often. He kept everyone who enjoyed his company on their toes – always catching them off-guard with a funny line or witty observation.
As much as he absolutely loved his life, family and all the people that brought him such joy – his absence will absolutely be felt at the Cape Cod Café - an institution he probably single-handedly kept in business due to the passion he displayed for their South Shore Bar Pizzas.
Sonny also loved tending to his yard and could often be found on his tractor mowing the lawn. His neighbors fondly recall stopping by to chat when they saw him out there; even if on some occasions they had to wake him up from a mid-mow nap. How he slept through the braying of his beloved basset hounds, nobody knows.
A memorial service will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home 441 Main St. West Bridgewater MA on Sunday, September 3rd from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
