Cheryl A. (Mullaney) Priest, age 61, of Brockton, died peacefully surrounded by family, April 10, 2013 after courageously facing a diagnosis of Brain Cancer. She was the wife of Donald T. Priest. Cheryl was born in Holden, daughter of Maureen I. (Daley) Mullaney and the late Richard C. Mullaney. She was raised in Somerset and was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Fall River. Cheryl had been a resident of Brockton since 1975 and was employed as a letter carrier for the US Post Office in Brockton for over 20 years. She was an animal lover and enjoyed nature walks and vacationing in Maine with her husband Don. She also enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren, sewing and baking and was a talented cake maker.

In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by her daughters Ellen Savino and her husband Everett of Bridgewater and Donna Shroupsky-Rains of Somerville; five grandchildren Angelo, Damien, Mia, Nina and Rocky Savino; brothers and sisters Claire Mullaney of Windham, ME, Michael Mullaney of Providence, RI, Mary Finsness of Somerset, Noreen Mullaney of Thomaston, ME, Daniel Mullaney of Chester, NH and Sharon Sussman of Ledyard, CT. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her former husband Walter F. Shroupsky, Jr.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Sunday 2-5pm followed by a funeral service at 5pm. Donations in memory of Cheryl may be made to the Bay State Animal Cooperative, Inc., 47 Windsor Road, Norwood, MA 02062.
