Chester H. Gullbrants Chester H. Gullbrants , 74, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Embassy Nursing Home surrounded by his family. Born March 7, 1936 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Karl H. Gullbrants, Sr. and Lola (Woodman) Gullbrants. Chet was a familiar face in the Campello Section of Brockton where he grew up and lived. He had worked for the Telephone Company, Bat Bus and bartended at several local bars, including Dave's Back Room, Home Caf and the Melody Lounge. Chet belonged to the Vasa Hall, Vega Club and the Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed being with friends, going on trips to the casino and other short trips. He leaves behind his brother, Karl H. Gullbrants, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Brockton; his nieces and nephews, Karen Niccoli, Susan Dion of Bridgewater, Michael and Kevin Gullbrants of Brockton and Lisa Fayles of West Yarmouth; he is also survived by seven great nieces, great nephews and several cousins. Funeral Information Following cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Monday, June 7th from 4:00-6:00PM.
