Obituary

Christine “Chris” (Doherty) Pelland age 68 of Brockton, died Friday December 1, 2017 at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Edward J. Pelland for 52 years. Chris was born and raised in Dorchester a daughter of the late John and Eleanor (McDonough) Doherty and for the past 52 years had lived in Brockton.

Chris was a stay at home mom devoted to her home and family. She enjoyed jewelry making and home decorating. Chris was a member of the Club National and Conte Club. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and she cherished time spent with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Christine was the mother of John Pelland and his wife Kimberly of Brockton, Jennifer Pelland of Wrentham and the late Janice Chicoine. She leaves five grandchildren Stephen and Julia Pelland, James and Justin Chicoine and Kayla Schneider and two great grandchildren Oliver and Cecilia. She was the sister of Nancy Gulczynski of Chatham and Joan Pierce of Brockton

Visiting hours will be held at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123) Brockton on Tuesday 4-8pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8am for a funeral Mass at Christ the King Parish at 9am. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
