Obituary

Christine J. (Hayward) Price, 75 years, of Brockton, died May 11, 2011, at West Acres Nursing Home, following a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was the loving wife for more than 56 years of Robert Price. Christine was born in Brockton May 25, 1935 a daughter of the late Harry E. and Ruth L. (Beals) Hayward. Over the years she had been employed in food services at the Carlton House, Christos, Brockton Country Club and Stonehill College. Chris was a Bingo enthusiast, Foxwoods Player and world traveler and enjoyed a full and rewarding life with friends and family.

Chris will lovingly be remembered as the devoted mother of Daniel A. Price, Richard D. Price, Judith A. Godsoe and her late husband Robert, Thomas E. Price and his wife Michelle, Lisa J. Gillis and her husband Paul and the late Robert S. Price; cherished grandmother of Robert Price and his wife Krystle, Samantha Gillis, Zachary Price, and Jessie Lee Gillis; treasured great grandmother of Sean Godsoe Price, the apple of her eye. Chris was the eldest sister of nine and aunt to many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday 2-6pm, with a funeral ceremony in the funeral home Monday at 10am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
