Obituary

Christopher “Chris” E. Nelson, age 62, of West Bridgewater, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on October 29, 2022.

Born on October 1, 1960, Chris was the son of the late John and Mary (Conley) Nelson.

Chris graduated from West Bridgewater High School in 1979, and received an associate degree from Paul Smith’s College in New York in 1981.

Chris enjoyed working outside and took great pride in his yard. He loved walking his dogs, Henry and Hugo (and previously, Charlie) all around town. He was extremely outgoing and sociable and was always helping his neighbors. Chris also enjoyed fishing, listening to music, watching sports and following college football, especially TCU.

Chris leaves behind his wife of 26 years, Jennifer (Davis) Nelson and their children, Jillian, Caroline and Sophia Nelson. Chris is also survived by his sister Mary Ellen Davis and her husband, Steven of West Boylston, MA; John Nelson and his wife Margaret of Wilmington Island, GA; and Stephen Nelson and his wife, Linda of Middleboro, MA. He also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation for Chris will be on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Route 123) Brockton from 4 to 7 p.m., followed by a service at 7pm.
