Christos Athanasiou, 79 of Raynham MA, passed away on the 12th of July 2024 of health complications.

Christos was born on the 18th of April 1945, in Athens Greece. After graduating high school in Kalithea, he attended medical school at the University of Athens. And concurrently he also completed his compulsory military service.

While attending the University of Athens, he met his future wife Olga Cryfou. Shortly thereafter they married and had two sons Demetrios and Theodoros. And just a few years later they purchased a restaurant in West Bridgewater and renamed it "Zorbas Pizza". They sold the business recently this past Spring of 2024.

Christos is predeceased by his parents Violetta and Dimitrios, and brothers Paul and John.

He is survived by his wife Olga Athanasiou, sons Demetrios and Theodoros, daughters-in-law Jacqueline and Georgia, and his two, wonderful blessings Amelia and Eva.

A funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton on Monday, July 22nd at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
